[Ottawa, Ontario, December 19, 2018] – billie is proud to partner with Tree Canada as part of our commitment to sustainability. In recognition of our users achieving carbon avoidance objectives by completing challenges on our platform, billie will plant a tree in their name.
Starting January 2, 2019, billie, in partnership with Tree Canada, will plant a tree to celebrate the achievement of an individual avoiding the equivalent amount of CO2 sequestered by a full grown tree in Canada in a 20-year period.
In total, billie has committed to planting a minimum of 2,500 trees in 2019 with the Tree Canada National Greening program to recognize the contributions of billie users.
